I recently stayed at a charming hotel in a lovely area. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was quiet and clean. The bed was large and comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The hotel was set in beautiful surroundings, with a view of llamas from my bedroom window. The bathroom was very clean, and the breakfast in the splendid dining room was excellent. it provided great value for money and made for a delightful stay.
I would recommend this hotel.

The Hotel was in a quiet location. I chose the hotel because it kind of ticked all the boxes for us. We were three professional ladies on a girlie couple of days away. It was quiet, picturesque and in a great location.
There was nothing we disliked about the hotel. The staff were chatty, helpful and seemed genuinely pleased to help you.

The hotel room we were allocated had no shower apart from a hair washing handset on the bath. The weather was hot, a shower would have been good. Every hotel should have a shower. The soap dispenser was empty on arrival. There was no occassional table in the room to put books or magazines on or to write on. The wardrobe was so small my partner was unable to hang a long dress up plus there were only 6 hangers, not enough. The menu stated 'traditional' foods and this is what attracted us but there was not one roast on the whole menu. There was generally a lack of 'warm atmosphere' in the hotel although the staff were friendly and courteous.

Quiet location, helpful staff, good food. Restaurant for every meal. Superb views, central to reaching other places. Large comfortable room with 4 poster bed. Lovely views, weather permitting. Adjacent field with alpacas. Excellent location.

From the moment we arrived at reception the staff were warm, friendly and helpful. We wanted to visit the Roman city remains at wroxeter and could not have chsen better. The only 'criticism' was the generous portions served in the restaurant - more than old tummies were used to!

Overall, this is a friendly and relaxing place to stay, but they need to raise their game, particularly during busy periods. The rooms are of a good size and well equipped, providing a good base to tour Shrewsbury and the surrounding glorious Shropshire countryside. The reception staff are effecient and friendly, and make up for the niggling things which should not occur at a hotel of this quality.
Really need to pay attention to the servicing of the rooms prior to guest arrival. Our basin and toilet had not received a good clean, and had obviously not been checked by management. In one room our party occupied, there was no hot water. Luckily, the hotel had received a cancellation and they were able to switch rooms. Our bathroom was quickly cleaned on request, however. The reception staff are friendly and effecient, but were under pressure during breakfast as they had to serve this as well; the bagel seemed to have just come out of the freezer and was unedible.

Location. Central for the Salop hills, Ludlow, Iron Bridge museums, Roman ruins. Easy to get to, but in the middle of some beautiful countryside.

Very quiet location after travelling on busy roads, so it made a very welcome break before starting out on the second half of the journey the following day. GOOD FOOD AND BEER AND AN EXCELLENT DINNER. ACCOMMODATION WAS COMFORTABLE AND RESTFUL. NEAR WROXETER ROMAN RUINS WHICH WERE VERY INTERESTING, WELL WORTH A VISIT. IT APPEARED THAT THE HOTEL WAS VERY GEARED UP TO WEEKEND WEDDINGS, SO YOU WOULD HAVE TO CHOOSE YOUR TIME TO STAY, IF YOU WANTED A PEACEFUL BASE TO EXPLORE THE SURROUNDING AREA.

Many things wrong from old mattress you could feel the springs through, we requested relocation to another room staff were very helpful on this matter Dinner was poor generally dinner plonked in front of people without asking who the dinner was for, now rectified but front of house training required No charge was levied for dinner but standard very poor and menue misleading where Thai prawns turned out to be supermarket prawns of 1 inch with sweet chilly sauce over it + chicken with mushroom and tarragon sauce totally tasteless Will not return
